Anyhow.... As most of you I guess, I was raised with The Doors' music. I remember listening to them during endless night car rides and falling asleep wondering why my parents liked such weird music... Well, this documentary will both bring you to the past and teach you the basics about the group. It's the kind of film you want to watch if you need something interesting to say about rock'n roll or the 60's at dinner parties. It will not give you all the keys to Jim's tortured mind (you would have to read his poetry) or childhood. It's not an exhaustive description of the group's genesis and lifetime directed by a nerdy fan - thank God! It's instructive, sure, but mostly it's entertaining.
I mean, those guys were fuckin rockstars. Drugs, groupies, genius music, shitty gigs and most importantly tragic ending, they had it all! If you're feeling like Justin Bieber and Britney don't bring you enough drama (why on earth would you think that) then you should watch that movie. You'll encounter poetry, boundary crossing and crazy fashion just as good as you imagine it.
